Wind Of Change. A storm that is brewing round the corner or just ripples before calamity returns to the stock market?

Singapore

Genting

After much speculation in the press and forums, Singapore’s first integrated resort/casino, Resorts World Sentosa had opened its doors finally on the auspicious first day of the Lunar New Year.  . Since hitting its historical high of $1.32 seen on 19th January 2010, the stock continues to face downside pressure. The MACD trend indicator appears to be showing no sign of upside revival as it continues to hover below its centerline. In addition, the RSI oscillator remains bearish below the 30% oversold level. Thus readings from these indicators suggest further potential weakness ahead for Genting. A violation below its immediate support of $1.02 may see another round of frantic sell-off to test the key support of $0.90 which corresponds closely to the 50% Fibonacci retracement from the February 2009 low of $0.475 to the historical high of $1.32. However a break above the resistance barrier of $1.18-$1.22 may negate the bearish tone to see an upside push to re-test the historical high of $1.32
